Funeral services for Dennis Louis White Shield “Mni Okacagla,” age 74, will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., officiating.

Graveside services will be at the White Shield Family Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with rosary services starting at 7:00 PM.

Dennis was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Navy.

Dennis was born on March 18, 1945 in Porcupine, SD to Eugene Bush and Hannah Ellen (Yankton) Bush. He made his journey to the Spirit World on June 26, 2019 at the I.H.S Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.

Dennis is survived by wife Diane Weaver; children Jarrod White Shield, Caleb White Shield, and Janelle White Shield; siblings Gerald Bush, Anthony Bush, Darrel Bush, and Harold Bush; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded by parents Eugene and Hannah Bush and sisters Darlene and Janice Bush.

Pallbearers will be James Bush, James DeLuca, Dave Miller, Dustin Zimiga, Derrick Janis, Kyle Ecoffey, Koltin Ecoffey, and Lante Swallow.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all Friends and Relatives.
