Funeral services for Everett “Gabby” Charles Brewer, age 81, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Peter Klink, S.J., Charles McGaa, and Pastor Larry Peterson officiating.

Graveside services will be at the Knight Family Cemetery in Batesland, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM and military roll call at 8:00 PM.

Everett was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force.

Everett was born on October 24, 1937 at home in Allen, SD to Fred Brewer Sr. and Laura (Gallego) Brewer. He passed away on July 14, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Gabby is survived by children Pamela (Chief) Brewer-Pahmahmie and Deanna Brewer of Mayetta, KS, Lisa Red Feather and Galen “Woody” Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD, Theresa Black Elk of Moore, OK, and Pigeon Big Crow, CeCe (Bob) Big Crow, Shawn Bettelyoun, Mason Big Crow, and Justin Brewer, all of Pine Ridge, SD; Altonnette Sara Belt of Rapid City, SD, Delmarie Brewer, Daisy Warrior, Robert “BJ” (Jewel) Her Many Horses, Andrew Her Many Horses, Jaimie (Willis) Her Many Horses, Julia (Erika) Her Many Horses, Jillian (Morgan) Her Many Horses, Laura Brewer, and Wylie Brewer, all of Oglala, SD; sister Elena Brewer-Dameron of Omaha, NE; 58 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Gabby was preceded in death by parents Fred Sr. and Laura (Gallego) Brewer; brothers Richard Brewer, Fred “Budger” Brewer Jr., Thomas Brewer, and Willard Brewer; daughter SuAnne Big Crow; and grandson Cowboy Roses Nava.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Everett “Gabby” Charles Brewer.
