Funeral services for Ella Mae Yellow Horse, age 58, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Father Joe Daoust, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be announced.

Graveside services will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.

Wake services will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.

Ella was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force.

Ella was born on August 25, 1960 in Pine Ridge, SD to Verdell and Sylvia Red Cloud. She made her journey to the Spirit World on July 15, 2019 at the I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.

Ella is survived by mother Sylvia Red Cloud of Pine Ridge, SD; children George (Nikki) Yellow Horse Jr. of Oglala, SD, Destiny (William Young) Yellow Horse and Lionell (Amy) Red Cloud of Colorado Springs, CO, Edward (Amber) Smith of Fort Polk, LA, and Faniesha Smith of Louisiana; sisters Donna (Greg) Ross of Rockyford, SD and Linda (Jim) Red Cloud of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Mike Two Two Sr., Richard Red Cloud, and Verdell (Kathy) Red Cloud, all of Pine Ridge, SD; grandchildren Jeremy and Monique Yellow Horse, Amari Young, Noemi Smith, Amaya, David, Kylen, Micah, and Dominic Red Cloud, Tryshtan, Ashlynn, and McKaelynn Smith; and numerous family and extended family members.

Ella was preceded in death by father Verdell Red Cloud; spouse George Yellow Horse Sr.; brothers Leonard Red Cloud and Marvin Red Cloud Sr.; and grandson Christian Yellow Horse-Young.
