A Mass of Christian Burial for Travis Lee Mousseau, age 42, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Charles McGaa officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Paul Bissonette.

Burial will be at the Bissonette Family Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Billy Mills Halll in Pine Ridge, SD with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM.

Travis was born on October 1, 1976 in Gordon, NE to Daniel Mousseau and Violet Bissonette. He made his journey to the Spirit World on July 31, 2019 at the I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.

Travis is survived by mother Violet Bissonette; siblings Dominic Waters, Michelle Randall, Lyle Jacobs, and Paula, Paul and Rochelle Mousseau; aunts Lena Hart, Vikki De Long, Virginia Bissonette, and Shirley and Barb Mousseau; uncles Victor Bissonette Jr., John De Long, and Farrell Crow; cousins Alyssa and Dustin Hart, Vine Hayes, Erik Brings White, Ryan, Joshua, Derek, Rachel, and April Bissonette, Mary Mousseau, Tanya and Elmarie Tobacco, Jason, Jeffery, and Jeremy De Long, and Paulette and Tamera Means; nieces Jayda Janis, Raven Tall, Rayonna Bissonette, Hayley Paige Waters, Keshia Hayes, and Dani and Ryanna Bissonette; nephews Byron Shot With Arrow, Dylan Bad Milk, Landon and Logan Fisherman, Jay Janis Jr., Richard Tall, Vance Hayes, Lloyd, Jacob, Cash, “Jed”, Robert, and Kobe Bissonette, Ryan Bissonette Jr., and Aiden and Braxton De Long; special friend Renita Poor Bear; and daughters Cante and Allie Poor Bear.

Travis was preceded in death by father Daniel Mousseau; grandparents Paul and Lucille Mousseau and Victor and Cordelia (Goode) Bissonette; uncles Lloyd, Virgil, and Orville Bissonette; aunt Ruby Goode; cousins Dennis and Daniel Bissonette; and nephews Flint Tall Jr. and Yamni Bissonette.

Pallbearers will be Corwin Bagola, Derek Bissonette, Josh Bissonette, John De Long, Larry Eagle Bull, Dustin Hart, Vine Hayes, Manuel Lewis Jr., Christopher Rodriguez, Cleve Roubideaux, Donnie Cottier, and Richard Tall.
