08/21/2019 - Charles Dexter Bad Milk

A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles Dexter Bad Milk, age 37, will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD with Charles McGaa and Joyce Tibbitts officiating. Traditional Lakota services are to be announced.

Burial will be at the Bad Milk Family Cemetery in Manderson, SD.

A two-night wake service will begin with the first night at 2:30 PM on Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD. The second night will start at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD. Evening services will start at 7:00 PM each night.

Charles was born on January 18,1982 in Pine Ridge, SD to Delbert Bad Milk Sr. and Karen Means. He made his journey to the Spirit World on August 12, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.

Charles is survived by children Louis Swallow and Leah and Avery Bad Milk; special friend Kimberly Eagle Bull; stepkids Kayla and Kaylee; siblings Delbert Bad Milk Jr., Fallon Bad Milk, Marietta Escamilla, Kelly Escamilla Jr., Jessie Escamilla, and Avery Hawk Wing; cousins and aunts Heather, Mary, and Marilyn Apple, Priscilla, Vanessa, and Manuel Bad Milk, Wanda Lacota, Wilberta Means, Alicia, Larry, and Jessica Batten and family, Kathy Means, and Corey Brown. 

Charles was preceded in death by parents Delbert Bad Milk Sr. and Karen Means; grandparents Vienna and Charles Bad Milk, Jewel Frazier, and Wilbert Means; aunt Martha (Means) Apple; and nephew Stephon Big Crow.
