Sharon passed from this life to the next on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Gordon Memorial Hospital.

Sharon was born in Gordon, NE to Clint and Lorraine (Waddill) Hale on April 30, 1941. Over the next few years, her sisters Billie and Vicki joined the family. Sharon’s father drowned when she was 10.

She was married to Richard “Dick” Muck on June 6, 1956 in Hot Springs, SD. God blessed them with four children, Richard, Marty, Kristi and Todd. Sharon spent her life raising her family and working alongside Dick as they farmed and ranched land south of Gordon.

Sharon enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and playing bridge. Many of you might have shared a game of cards with her. She was greatly blessed by women’s Bible studies with the ladies from church. God filled her cup with grandchildren and then great-grandchildren.

Sharon put down deep roots in Gordon and always considered it her home even when she spent short periods of time living in Lincoln with her daughter or Butte with her sister. There was always a pull to get back home, back to the place she had been born, married and raised a family, while helping to work the land and raise cattle. She loved this town and its people. She breathed its air and drank its water and loved being a part of this community. Thank you for loving her in return.

Sharon is preceded in death by grandparents Houston and Nan Waddill; parents Clint and Lorraine Hale; sister Billie; husband Richard; and son Richard. She is survived by sons Marty and Todd; daughter Kristi and son-in-law Troy; grandchildren Danette, Jason, Heidi, Jeremy, Ryan, Kyle, Kiley, Austin, and Parker; great-grandchildren Cecelia, Madison, Jolene, and Hunter; sister Vicki (Ralph); brother-in-law Clyde; sister-in-law Donna (Ronnie); brother-in-law Gary; and sister-in-law Ila Mae; as well as many nieces and nephews.
