Funeral services for Angela Rose Sun Bear, age 43, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Gordon City Auditorium in Gordon, NE with Reverend Don Mink officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Alphonso American Horse.

Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Gordon City Cemetery in Gordon, NE.

A one-night wake service will begin at 5:30 PM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Gordon City Auditorium in Gordon, NE with evening services starting at 8:00 PM.

Angela was born on October 6, 1975 in Pine Ridge, SD to Marlon Sun Bear Sr. and Inez Black Calf. She made her journey to the Spirit World on August 25, 2019 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE.

Angela is survived by children Shandale, Tiffany, Jonathan, Alexandra, Isaac, and Isaiah; brothers Mark Black Calf of Rapid City, SD, Dale Sun Bear of Florence, CO, and John Black Calf of Gordon, NE; and sister Ernestine Sun Bear of Sioux Falls, SD.

Angela was preceded in death by parents Marlon Sun Bear Sr. and Inez Black Calf; daughter Anastasia; and grandparents Mark Sr. and Adeline Black Calf and Jessie and Rosa Sun Bear.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Angela Rose Sun Bear.
