Funeral services for Edward Arthur Bear Runner, age 53, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be announced.

Burial will be at the Bear Runner Family Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, SD.

Edward was a veteran in the U.S. Army.

Edward was born on September 27, 1965 in Rosebud, SD to Harold Bear Runner and Lucille Scott. He made his journey to the Spirit World on August 21, 2019 at his home in Aurora, CO.

Edward is survived by siblings Cindy Minkler, Daniel Bear Runner Sr., Sonia Bear Runner, Ramona Bear Runner, Lisa Bear Runner, Grace Scott, and Florence Bear Runner.

Edward was preceded in death by parents Harold Bear Runner and Lucille Scott; sisters Carol Bear Runner and Geraldine Powless; paternal grandparents Oscar Bear Runner and Grace Rock; and maternal grandparents Isaac Scott and Eva Jaw.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Edward Arthur Bear Runner.
