A Mass of Christian Burial Service for Crayton D. White Eyes, age 56, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Father Joe Daoust, S.J., and Sister Barb Bogenschutz officiating. Drum Group will be He Sapa Hwo – Voice of the Black Hills with David Claymore.

Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Mission Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Rosary services staring at 7:00 PM and military roll call to follow.

Crayton was a veteran in the U.S. National Guard.

Crayton was born on January 8, 1963 in Chicago, IL to Lawrence Doley White Eyes and Chrystal (Graham) Bordeaux. He made his journey to the Spirit World on August 31, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.

Crayton is survived by mother Chrystal (Graham) Bordeaux; children Sasha White Eyes, Telly White Eyes, Crayton White Eyes, and Victoria Suzanne White Eyes; siblings Ernest (Jeanette) White Eyes (and their children Ernest “Jr.”, Joseph, Lema, Lawrence and Jacob), Anthony White Eyes (and his children Anthony White Eyes Jr. and Jenna White Eyes), Chrystal “Baby Girl” White Eyes (and her children Leonard Ziegler Jr., Shaunde Ziegler and Ashlee Marie Fawn Ziegler), Richie Richards (and his sons Chance and Sparrow Richards), Nathan Bordeaux, and Julie White Eyes; grandchildren Taleah and Tay White Eyes, K’Sha, Adam, and Miguel Red Bear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Crayton was preceded in death by father Lawrence D. White Eyes; grandparents Suzanne Richards, Ernest Graham, and John and Helena White Eyes; aunt Juanita White Eyes; and nephew Baptiste White Eyes.

Pallbearers will be Simon Smashed Ice, Jenna White Eyes, Lawrence White Eyes, Anthony White Eyes Jr., Chance Richards, and Nathan Bordeaux.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends and relatives.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Crayton D. White Eyes.
