Funeral services for Jonathan Frank Hernandez “Isnala Najin” (Stands Alone), age 60, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Oelrichs Community Center in Oelrichs, SD with Pastor Linda Abold and Sister Barb officiating. Traditional Singer will be announced.

Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery in Hot Springs, SD.

There will be a Celebration of Life dinner to follow burial services at the Masonic Lodge in Hot Springs, SD. Please join the family in sharing memories and stories in remembrance of Jonathan.

A one-night wake service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Oelrichs Community Center on East 6th St. in Oelrichs, SD with evening prayers being held at 7:00 PM.

Jonathan was born on May 30, 1959 in Pine Ridge, SD to Harlan Hunter and Gladys Theresa (Little) Hernandez. He made his journey to the Spirit World after a long battle with cancer on August 31, 2019 at his home in Hot Springs, SD.

Jonathan is survived by siblings Mary Hernandez of Lincoln, NE, Gloria Patton of Beatrice, NE, Michael Hernandez of Lincoln, NE, Kendrea Stubblefield of Omaha, NE, Mark and Debra Hernandez of Duluth, MN, and Anthony and Dawn Hernandez, of New Orleans, LA; children Shawna Martin Delaney of Alliance, NE, Orville Morsette of Hot Springs, SD, Deena Piekkola of Belle Fourche, SD, and Danny Morsette of Hot Springs, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Jonathan was preceded in death by parents Harlan Hunter and Gladys (Little) Hernandez; siblings Andrea, Kevin, and Alex Hernandez; and life partner Pam Morrisette.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Hernandez, Mark Hernandez, Orville Morsette, David Garnier, Chaz Piekkola, and Danny Morsette.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence Respects Nothing, Arnie Phillips, Pat Yellow Thunder, Jerry Dawn, Jerome Little Hood, Gerald Dawn, and all Friends and Relatives.
