Funeral services for Christopher George Long Soldier, age 53, will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with the officiant to be announced.

Burial will be at the Mediator Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with prayer services starting at 7:00 PM.

Christopher was born on January 5, 1966 in Pine Ridge, SD to Silas F. Long Soldier Jr. and Leona Crazy Thunder. He made his journey to the Spirit World on September 4, 2019 in Rapid City, SD.

Christopher is survived by sisters Ella Long Soldier of Denver, CO and Bessie Long Soldier and Tilda St. Pierre of Kyle, SD; brothers Lloyd Long Soldier of Crow Agency, MT and Harold Long Soldier of Sharp’s Corner, SD; nephews and nieces Jesse Thunder Hawk of Wahiawa, HI, Fernando and R.J. Long Soldier of Crow Agency, MT, Harold and Lloyd Two Bulls and Tamera and Travis Richards, all of Rapid City, SD, Tiffany and James Russell and Amos Two Bulls, all of Walthill, NE, and Jamal and Iona Long Soldier of Denver, CO.

Christopher was preceded in death by mother Leona Crazy Thunder; father Silas F. Long Soldier Jr.; daughter Quanna Long Soldier; and infant son Mark Long Soldier.

Pallbearers will be Elgin Young Bear, Cleveland Weasel Bear Jr., Jay Janis, Dave Red Owl, Richard Big Boy, Kelly McCurry, and John White Dress.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Norman, Louis, and Jerome Crazy Thunder, Howard and Duane Rooks, Verdell and Martin Long Soldier, Robert Watkins, Francis, Wallace, and Taylor White Dress, Bill Montileauz, Asay Loafer Jr., Lorenzo Hayes, Willy Janis, Bryan Two Lance, Lyman Red Cloud Jr., George White Thunder, and all Friends and Relatives.
