Funeral services for Shilo Dale Pourier “Wahpaha Ska,” age 23, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Mike Little Boy Sr.

Burial will be at the Pourier Family Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with rosary services starting at 7:00 PM.
   
Shilo was born on March 12, 1996 in Pine Ridge, SD to Clifford Pourier Sr. and Erna Shepard. He made his journey to the Spirit World on September 17, 2019 near Evergreen, SD.  

Shilo is survived by mother Erna Shepard of Porcupine, SD; siblings Clifford (Christine) Pourier Jr. of Porcupine, SD, Marcey Pourier, Lorraine Pourier, and Alex Shepard, all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Thomas Delo of Luray, VA; grandparents Georgia Tail, George Pourier, and Eli Tail Sr., all of Porcupine, SD, Bernice Simeon of Alliance, NE, Sharon Lowe of Rosebud, SD, and Mary Jane Sun Bear of Sacramento, CA; aunts Tedine Pourier, Karen Red Elk, Eva Mesteth, Darmalee Tail, and Gloria Tail, all of Porcupine, SD, Shelly Pourier and Sonia DuBray of Rapid City, SD, Mona Mesteth of Sharps Corner, SD, and Bonita Bear Robe of Pine Ridge, SD; and uncles Ted Pourier Jr. and Donnie Mesteth of Porcupine, SD.

Shilo was preceded in death by father Clifford Pourier Sr.; sister Mercedes Pourier; grandparents Ted Sr. and Lorraine Pourier; cousin Kyle Mesteth; aunt Lorie Pourier; and uncles Tyrone Mesteth Sr. and Matt Mesteth Sr., Dean Andrews Sr., and Jeffrey Tail.
