Martin Louis Bad Wound was born on June 7, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Louis Bad Wound and Margie (Conquering Bear) Morrison and made his journey to the Spirit World at dawn on September 21, 2019 at his home in Martin, SD surrounded by his loving girlfriend and numerous pets.
Martin attended Bennett County High School until his freshman year. He went on to become a cowboy. His late father always told him to become the “Jack of All Trades”. He was a construction worker, ranch hand, mechanic, plumber, electrician and professional salesman.
He was a sundancer for the many years and an active member of the A.I.M. movement. Later on, he married Angie Sam.
He loved to joke around with people and make them laugh. He was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed help. He always said, “That was the Lakota way”.
He lived and left the way he wanted to. We will always have the memories of Martin in our hearts where he loved to live… gone but never forgotten.
