Lisa was born on August 7, 1980 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jennifer (Richards) Prue. She made her journey to the Spirit World on September 23, 2019 at her home in Rapid City, SD with sister Brooke by her side.
In her childhood years, Lisa grew up in Pine Ridge, SD and Wanblee, SD, attending Eagle Nest Elementary and Little Wound High School. She received her GED in May 2000. In her teens and throughout her adult years, the family moved to Rapid City, SD and made the city their home.
Lisa was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and granddaughter. She had a big family and loved each and every relative. She treated all of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She was a person who showed her love always. Lisa found humor every day. Through all the pain, she smiled and cracked jokes. She loved to sit and drink her flavored water (coffee) and enjoy her bowl of sugar.
“My big sissy was so full of life. She loved my babies so much. She would go to the Thrift Store shopping and bring many things home, a little for everyone, and if there was no need for it, we would go behind her and throw it away. Her favorite meals were oatmeal with brown sugar, popcorn balls, and Campbell soup with a Dr. Pepper. I couldn’t go to the store and not get it. Her kisses on my cheek I will miss very much. She called me her ‘Baby Girl,’ her ‘Sissy.’ She always said, ‘I got you, Baby Girl and ‘I love you!’” ~Tiffy
Lisa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
