Daniel Eugene Baldauf, 84, passed away October 9, 2019.
A native of Clinton, Nebraska, son of the late Joseph Frederick and Mable Fischer Baldauf, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retired civil engineer and a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. He was a great hiker with unusual apparel, a limbo skater and a carpenter. His eyes sparkled like none others’, especially when he had a joke or prank.
Surviving are his wife, Lona Mae Cady Baldauf of the home; three sons, Daniel Baldauf (Christine) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Richard Baldauf (Laura) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Anthony Baldauf of Taylors; three daughters, Vickie Wunder (David) of Taylors, Laurie Robison (Greg) of Taylors and Marie Gates (Brad) of Falls Church, Virginia; four sisters, Marjorie Williams of Seward, Nebraska, Berthajean Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska, Jo Anderson (Don) of Broomfield, Colorado and Marie Datus (Gary) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Baldauf was predeceased by one brother, Boyd Joseph Baldauf, one sister, Lavon Rose Schwarting and one great-grandson, Patrick Stowell.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Greer, South Carolina, conducted by Father Richard Tomlinson.
Visitation will be held 5:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary, Greer, South Carolina.
A rosary service will be held 6:15 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary, Greer, South Carolina.
The family is at the home.
