Evelyn Ann Long Soldier was born on July 25, 1968 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alvin Long Soldier and Ethel (Comes) Long Soldier. Evelyn made her journey to the Spirit World on October 7. 2019 at the MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Evelyn is survived by her spouse, Robert Stoner of Winnebago, NE; father, Alvin Long Soldier, Sr. of Colorado; children, James (Rhonda) Stover of Kyle, SD, McKenzie Stover and Stefon Stoner both of Winnebago, NE; god-children, Severt Long Soldier of San Diego, CA and Zoe Long Soldier of Kyle, SD; sisters, Claudette Long Soldier of Lead, SD, Elizabeth Long Soldier and Rhonda Long Soldier both of Kyle, SD; brothers, Alvin “Chipper” Long Soldier of Vermillion, SD, Gerald Long Soldier, Sr. and Craig Long Soldier both of Kyle, SD, Marlin Long Soldier of Chicago, IL, and Hakela Long Soldier of Rapid City, SD; grandmother, Peggy Janis of Kyle, SD; Special Aunt, Cheryl H. Janis of Omaha, NE; and grandchildren, Kimimila Jane Stover, Tucker Wesley Joe, Evelyn Rain Stover, James Stover III, and Surayla Janis.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel (Comes) Long Soldier; brother, Shaun Long Soldier; grandparents, Francis & Evelyn Long Soldier, Kenneth Janis, Ora Janis, and Mabel Janis; great grandparents, Wilson & Alice (Fool Head) Janis and Antoine & Lizzy Long Soldier; niece, TaShauni Long Soldier; and nephew, Afernee Long Soldier.

Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD
