Funeral services for 48-year old Tamera Gayle Ashley will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD, with Elder Brent Hale and Sister Vee Hale officiating.

Graveside services will be at the Inestimable Gift Episcopal Cemetery, Allen, SD

A one-night wake service starts Monday, November 18, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with evening services at 7:00 PM

Tamera Gayle Ashley was born on October 5, 1971 in Pine Ridge, SD to Gayle Ashley and Linda (Thunder Bull) Means. Tamera made her journey to the Spirit World on November 11, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Tamera is survived by her children, Brittany Marie (Egan Longman, Jr.) Ashley, Michael Douglas (Samie Means) Ashley, Stephen Tanner (Tori DuBray) Ashley, Loren Little Whiteman, Jr., Trey Little Whiteman, Tyler Reed Little Whiteman, and Jason Apple; aunts, Bernadine (William) May of Casa Grande, AZ, Susan Big Crow, Phyllis Campbell, Dorothy Thunder Bull, and Amanda (Jim) Christensen all of Kyle, SD; and Gertie Yankton of Wanblee, SD; hunka mother, Lorna (Marvin) Apple; sisters, Leah (Manuel) Bear Killer, Heather Means, Mona (Bryan Yankton) Gutierrez, and Tashina Means; 13 grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Tamera was preceded in death by her parents, Gayle Timothy Ashley and Linda L. Thunder Bull-Means; grandparents, Vincent & Ella (Imitates Dog) Thunder Bull and Joseph & Victoria (Red Elk) Ashley; brother in infancy, Narcisse Gutierrez, Jr.; sisters in infancy, Annabelle Lee Means and Edna Gutierrez; aunts, Rose Thunder Bull-White Face, Cora P. Thunder Bull-Bird Hat, and Faye Thunder Bull-Lone Hill; uncles, Malcolm Thunder Bull, Cecil Thunder Bull, Earl Thunder Bull, and Douglas Thunder Bull; and grandson, Baby Michael Means.

Pallbearers will be Francis J. Big Crow, Roger Campbell, Jr., Henry Clifford, Manuel Bear Killer, William Gourd, and Cody Gourd.

Honorary pallbearers will be all cousins, nieces, nephews, Chasity Means, Agnes Westover, Colette Red Owl, Lena Garnette, Misty & Howard Rooks, Doug Jones, Sr., Dawn Marie Janis, Yankton Family, David Scout & Family, Charles May & Family, Gabriel May & Family, April May & Family, Melissa Cahoon, and All Friends & Relatives.
