Herman Theodore Fredericksen completed his earthly life's journey on November 19, 2019 and is now at home with his Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born July 7, 1928 in Omaha, NE to Danish parents Carl and Lucille Jensen Fredericksen, he was their first-born child.

Herman worked in big agriculture at the alfalfa mills for over forty years in Cozad. After retiring at age 62, Herman and his late wife Phyllis Small Fredericksen (passed July 19, 2015) first lived in Hemphill, TX, then Wichita, KS, before Chadron, NE became his last home.

While retired, Herman had more time to do what he loved...fishing and gardening and was always a great provider of food. As Herman said at the end before he died, "See you at the table."

Herman and Phyllis raised three daughters who survive them today: Sandra Yonkey (Darrell - Lincoln, NE), Sharon Howerter (Greg - Chadron, NE), and Carla Johnston (Chuck - Fredericksburg, VA).

They were further blessed with two grandchildren Joette Fuller (Eric - Chadron, NE) and Jeffrey Howerter (Jennifer - Cozad). Six great-granddaughters increased and blessed the family fold: twins Micaiah and Makinley Fuller, Jentsyn Fuller, Sydney Howerter, and twins Addison and Emma Howerter.

Herman is also survived by nieces and nephews who live in Nebraska, Texas, Nevada, Washington, and California.

His brother Gene Fredericksen and sister Irene Nielsen long preceded him in death along with sister Linda Johnson.
