Funeral services for 38-year old Martha Nancy Rose Spotted Elk-Long Wolf will be Sunday, Dec 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Eagle Nest CAP Office in Wanblee, SD, with all prayer leaders welcome for traditional Lakota services.

A two-night wake service starts at 2:00 PM, Friday, Dec 20, 2019 at the Eagle Nest CAP Office in Wanblee with evening prayer services starting at 7:00 PM each night.

Martha Nancy Rose Spotted Elk-Long Wolf was born on August 17, 1981 in Pine Ridge, SD to Earl Long Wolf, Sr. and Myrtle Spotted Elk. Martha made her journey to the Spirit World on December 13, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Martha is survived by her mother, Myrtle Spotted Elk of Wanblee, SD; daughters, Penelope Garnette, Stormy Spotted Elk, Layla Bissonette and Lyla Spotted Elk, all of Wanblee, SD; sisters, LeaAnn, Renee and Earlene Long Wolf, all of Pine Ridge, SD, Isabel Marshall of Rapid City, SD, Arvella
Marshall of Sioux Falls, SD, Ella Burg of Casa Grande, AZ, Ladene Marshall of Kyle, SD and Jennifer Harjo of Wichita, KS; brothers, Tim Spotted Elk of Wanblee, SD, Earl Janis, Jr. and Roger Janis-Long Wolf, both of Pine Ridge, SD, and Chester and Jo Marshall, both of Kyle, SD; nieces, Serena, Jakayla, Alicia, Lareese, Maxine and Jusina Spotted Elk, Brittney, Spring and Macy Pumpkin Seed, Emily, Autumn and Kayden Rosebud, Ombria Marshall, Chelsea and Christine Long Soldier, Justine Little Thunder and Mischa Marshall, Kimimila and Tanaya Bongo, all of Wanblee, SD, Jasmine Burg of Casa Grande, AZ, Yvette Yellow Cloud of Rapid City, SD and Bridgette Robideau of Allen, SD; nephews, Major Spotted Elk, Triston Swift Hawk, Taton Bongo, Savon Iron Rope, Richard Rico Ashley, Jr.,Damien Ashley, John Rio and Blaze Iron Rope and Tyree Rosebud, all of Wanblee, SD; James Burg of Casa Grande, AZ and Malachi Robideau of Allen, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins.

Martha was preceded in death by her father, Earl Long Wolf, Sr.; siblings, Rose Janis-Long Wolf and Benjamin Long Wolf; son, Dante Spotted Elk; maternal grandparents, Homer and Martha Spotted Elk; paternal grandfather, Lawrence Long Wolf; niece, Neveah Spotted Elk; and nephew, Ryan Scott Van Pelt.

Pallbearers will be: Emma Swift Hawk, Trish Black Hawk, Tammy Yellow Cloud, Susie Iron Rope, Jolene White Feather, Connie Conquering Bear, Dominique Ten Fingers, Maria Lemon, Julie Rosebud and Charlene White Feather.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: All Friends and Relatives.
