Funeral services for 49-year old Patricia Briana Bad Wound will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Bad Wound residence on BIA 9 Northeast of the American Horse School in Allen, SD.

Traditional Lakota services will be led by Mr Mike Cross

Burial Services will be at St. John of the Cross Cemetery in Allen.

A one-night wake service starts at 3:00 PM, Monday, July 20, 2020 at 3:00 PM, also at the Bad Wound residence

Patricia Briana Bad Wound Ta TaSunke Luta Wi (Red Horse Owner) was born on January 20, 1971 in Hot Springs, SD to Jimmy Charles Bad Wound and Sandra Witt.  Patricia made her journey to the Spirit World on July 10, 2020 at her home in Rapid City, SD.

Patricia is survived by her mother, Sandra Witt of Salem, OR; daughter, Margaret (James Sr.) Osborne of Salem, OR; grandchildren, Josiah Cante' Osborne, Ezra Paul Osborne, Isaiah John Osborne, Elijah Daniel Osborne, Ellianna Kimimila Patricia Osborne, James Osborne Jr., Jada Lynn Erlene Osborne, and Jazzelynn Jane Eve Osborne; siblings, Timothy (Heather) Witt of Salem, OR, Gayla Loafer of Rapid City, SD, Trina (Steve) Wilson of Lincoln City, OR, and Antoinette (Virgil) Poafpybitty of Oglala, SD; aunts, Becky (Mack) Witt of Hot Springs, SD and Ella Richards of Aberdeen, SD; uncles, Lyle Witt of Hot Springs, SD, Wayne Witt of Oglala, SD, John Bad Wound of Allen, SD, and Marvin (Linda) Bad Wound of Batesland, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Agnes (Fire Thunder) Bad Wound, Nathaniel Witt Sr., and Geraldine Distribution; father, Jimmy Charles Bad Wound; uncles, Nathaniel Witt Jr., Lawrence Witt, Francis Witt, Nelson Witt, James Witt, Patrick Witt and Sidney Witt; aunts, Mary Ann (Witt) Kapicka, Eugena Bettelyoun, and Mary Ann Bad Wound; and nieces, Anna Maria Brewer and Jessica Bad Wound.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Waters, Marty Waters, Jonny Bad Wound, Darren Bettelyoun, Curtis Bettelyoun, and Randy Witt.

Honorary pallbearers will be all Relatives and Friends.
