Funeral Services for Calvin L. Pulliam, age 57, of Pine Ridge, SD will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Billy Mills Hall with Reverend Ron Gonzales officiating. Traditional Lakota Services provided by Mr. John Red Feather. A two-night wake will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 28th at Billy Mills Hall, Pine Ridge. Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
Calvin Lyle Pulliam was born on December 13, 1950. He was born to James (Lulu)-Pulliam and Virginia T. Adams-Pulliam. Calvin was born in Pine Ridge, SD. He attended elementary school in Pine Ridge as well as school in Chicago, IL. He graduated high school from Oglala Community School in 1970. Calvin furthered his education at Colorado University in Boulder. He enlisted in the United States Navy.
After his service he worked various places as a Police Officer, Factory Worker, Prairie Wind Casino, Sioux Nation, U.S. Postal Service, and Housekeeping at IHS. He will be dearly missed by all his colleagues, friends, and family. Immediate Survivors:
Wife- Jessie Pulliam of Pine Ridge, SD. Sons- Louis Pulliam of Pine Ridge, SD; Steve Yankton, Shawn Yankton both of Denver, CO; Travis Red Cloud of Rushville, NE.
Daughters- Colonne Randall, Avril Pulliam, Natasha Pulliam all of Pine Ridge, SD; Stephanie Yankton of Denver, CO.
Brothers- Bill Pulliam, Patrick Pulliam, Bud Thomas all of Pine Ridge, SD.
Sisters- Louise Pulliam, Theresa Two Bulls, Sally Two Bulls, Toni Two Bulls, Judy Two Bulls all of Pine Ridge, SD.
