Funeral Services for Mary Louisa Reder, age 64, of Hermosa, SD will be Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM at McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, SD with Pastor Edwin Coates officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31st at McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs, SD. A memorial has been established in Mary’s name. Donations may be sent to Butch Reder, P.O. Box 142, Hermosa, SD 57744.
Written condolences can be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com. Mary, daughter of Allan and Leota Coates, was born in Hot Springs, SD on August 24, 1943. She spent her childhood living in Edgemont until 1955 when her father became Sheriff and moved to Hot Springs. She attended both Edgemont and Hot Springs schools. Mary met the love of her life Gary ‘Butch’ Reder and to their marriage were born two children, daughter Lori Dee and son, Tony Allan. Mary moved to Chadron, NE with her family in 1966 where they made their home and raised their children for 16 years. Mary and Butch then moved to Cody, WY where they lived for 21 years. In 2003 Mary and Butch moved to Oelrichs, SD. While living in Oelrichs, Mary worked along side her husband to get their home built in Hermosa. The move back to South Dakota rekindled a lot of friendships she had prior to moving to Wyoming. Mary was a member of the two bunco groups in Oelrichs and also the pitch club both of which she enjoyed immensely.

Husband- Gary “Butch” Reder of Hermosa, SD. Daughter- Lori and husband Robert Jindra of Mason City, IA. Son- Tony and wife Laura Reder of Lingle, WY Grandchildren- Jedadiah and wife Laura Jindra; Jeramiah and wife Shannon Jindra; Zachariah and wife Sarah Jindra; Cody and Casey Reder. Great grandchildren- 6 Brothers- George and wife Colleen Coates; Robert ‘Bob’ and wife Toby Coates. Sister- Patricia and husband Merlin Dawson. Brothers-In-Law- Jim and wife Barb Reder; Kenneth and wife Genie Reder. Sister-In-Law- Patricia and husband Jack Meyer. Nieces & Nephews- Numerous McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs is in charge of arrangements.
